A save game from Panzer can only exist with three other game saves. In other words, you can only have three other games saved in order to save one game of Panzer. SSI has announced no plans to fix this, and contends that because the save game will become very big as you progress through the scenerios you won't have room for any other games. - Ed.] [Bug #2: You can not get to the Washington scenario by winning a major victory in SeaLion 43. The bug (Confirmed by SSI) always will kick you to Anzio. You can, however, get to Washington through SeaLion 40. "NA" - is for Ardennes which is an offensive scenario with special victory conditions. "*" - seemingly impossible state to be in. "?" - not sure about path for minor and loss. "??" - not sure about turn for major. "[NoW]" means war is over in the west: use scenarios which include the line "(NoE)" from now on. "[NoE]" means war is over in the east: use scenarios which include the line "(NoW)" from now on. A result listed as "scenario1/scenario2" means the player can choose between the two scenarios to play. All other results, like "LOSE" for example, end the game. /~~~~~~~\ [PAA] Pataank \_______/ Things to remember: 1 - All of the cheats can only be activated from WITHIN the OPTIONS menu. (IE: Enter the Options menu FIRST, the try the codes...) 2 - All of the cheats are entered holding either the Ls or Rs, then pressing in sequence the other keys (while still holding the Ls or Rs) 3 - After the cheat is entered, you should see a number pop up at the top of the screen confirming the code. Tester's Cheat (solve to the METAGAME): This enables the player to solve -------------- rooms and warp to the NEXUS to beat the METAGAME. * Press and hold the RS button, then press A,B,B,UP,C,C,B,A * While in the game, press P to pause and then press B to warp to the NEXUS. You can attack ANY tables in ANY order from here. Solve: In the Carnival of Luv, press P and RIGHT to beat the level, Go into the Tunnel of Luv to set the heart on fire. Next, do the same in the Surf level (Press P then RIGHT). Ride the Wave to become the Big Kahuna. In Disaster Central, Press P then RIGHT. Hit three green panels and then hit the Panic Button. Go in and defeat the Core (cool part!). Unlimited Fuel/No Tilts Press and hold the Rs button, then press ----------------------- C B C Up B B C A Camera Cheat This will allow you to enable the "High Zoom" and "Free ------------ Camera" in the game. * Press and hold the Ls button, then press C B A A C B A A * While playing the game, press and hold the X button when you are on a Magneto for a new view (you can press X anytime after to get the top view). *NOTE* Anyone who can get the Free Camera to work, let me know. I can only get the High Zoom to work. Flip Pataank This will give you an upside-down view! (I almost puked!) ------------ Press and hold the Rs button, then press A,C,B,RIGHT,B,C,B,A Under the Pinball Table View You'll think your playing under the pinball ---------------------------- machine looking through a glass bottom! * Press and hold the RS button, then press A,C,A,RIGHT,B,B,C,B Bird's Eye View You'll get a ... bird's eye view of the Table :) --------------- Press and hold the LS button, then press B,C,C,LEFT,A,C,B,A Buick Pataank This code will let you move anywhere in the playfield with ------------- the control pad. You'll also be able to turn 360 degrees. Press and hold LS and press B,B,C,UP,C,C,B,A Enable Name entry cheat - only for lamers :) This allows players to jump ----------------------- to the High Score Entry and Hall of Fame screens automatically. * Press and hold the LS button, then press A,P,A,P,B,B * Let go the LS button * Press P (start) * Press and hold the RS button, then C,C (one C was good for me...) to jump to the High Score Entry Screen * Press and hold the LS button, then C,C (again, one C did the trick) to jump to the Hall of Fame Entry Screen Full Field Overview of Board I actually peaked open the manual to see if the ---------------------------- X button trick was mentioned, and Huh-NNnnooooo! (said with phony French accent) This one is really cool. While you're on the magneto, hold X, and you'll zoom way back and up, and the arrow pad will rotate the field. Choose Your Prize In Surf's Up When you earn your "tickets", and the left ------------------------------ board is activated, watch the FMV clips, and hit the one you want (sharks, curl, etc.) /~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\ [PHT] Pharaoh's Tomb(Seal of the Pharaoh) \___________________________________/ GAME CONTROLS Movement * L - Toggle weapon and shield display in lower right corner on or off. * R - Toggle health display on top on or off. The white bars at top left indicate your health, the pink indicator at the right the enemy's health. * Use the directional pad to move. * Pick up items by pressing A when the item appears. * The same square may contain several items or monsters, each one visible depending on which facing your character is looking into. For those of you who are Japanese animation fans, Chisa Yokoyama (voice of "Sasami" in Tenchi Muyo!) plays the weeping snake. * Ramses and the starfish help you. DON'T HURT THEM! * Sometimes, just talking to a starfish will open a secret passage to explore. After you encounter one of them, doublecheck parts of the dungeon which may show up on the map, but which were previously blocked. * The game is automatically saved every time you beat a boss monster. /~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\ [PDW] Plumbers Don't Wear Ties \________________________/ While the girl is talking in the beginning intro press up, down, right, left, down, right, stop It seems that sometimes it doesn't work if you hit A to abort the video clip, but sometimes it does... Note: There is no confirmation that you've entered the code, so good luck. I have verified it to work! Although it doesn't make this shitty game any better... Enter the code a few times to be sure you got it right the first time. /~~~~~~\ [POD] PO'ed \______/ FULL VERSION: [Note: The Sanyo 3DO and the early model of the Goldstar 3DO [which is identifiable in that you must snap the disc onto the tray, rather than just set it on the tray] cannot load files greater than one megabyte which leaves four levels on POed unplayable: POMPOUS Medium Rare, RAPA NUI, and PUZZLE Any Channel has corrected the problem and offers a fix to those that send in the disc with the serial number of their Goldstar/Sanyo 3DO. Call Any Channel or 3DO Co. for full details.] [Also note: There is a save game bug most likely associated with levels that contain multiplying blobs. Do not save your game after killing a blob on a level. It might be best to try and not save your game at all on levels with blobs. The levels with blobs are: Shuttle, Power Plant, Pompous Tartar (the third Pompous level), and Aclogo. Any Channel is working on the fix now; contact Any Channel or 3DO for the latest information.] Level Select From the main menu press and hold Ls+Rs+Up. Then press A to start ------------ a new game as usual and release all buttons. At the difficulty screen, press and hold Ls+Rs+Down and press A after selecting a difficulty. Select a level, and press A to start. Farts Go to the LOADGAME menu and press Ls+Rs. Then start a game as usual. ----- Full inventory Note: this code only works on a standard controller. Press -------------- C + X to enter 3D map mode. Rotate the map on any axis. Press P, then LS + A + B + C during rotation of the map back to default view. Ox's inventory will contain all the weapons and the jetpack. Ammunition Press RS + Right + B + C during a backflip. The ammunition for ---------- all weapons will be returned to full. Health Press RS + Down + B during a backflipto restore all health. ------ Invincibility This code only works after all weapons up to and including the ------------- wailer are in Ox's inventory. It does not work in conjunction with the Full inventory code. Standard controller version: Press C, C to display the weapon select option. Hold A + LS + RS to cycle through the weapons. The words "KNEEL BEFORE ME!" will appear to confirm code entry. Do not change the current weapon until the weapon select option is exited and re-entered. Flightstick version: Hold RS and press A to display the weapon select option. While RS is still held, toggle Hat/Left, Hat/Right to cycle through the weapons. The words "KNEEL BEFORE ME!" will appear to confirm code entry. Press A to exit the weapon selection option and resume game play. Secret Level In the "Tombs" level, walk around the corner from the area ------------ where you pick up loads of ammo, there is a teleporter that leads to "Spiral - Secret Level (No Jetpack)" Solution to level: Lattice -------------------------- Imagine this is the layout of the level LATTICE: Its basically a donut, where the hole is the hidden room #5. - - - |1|2|3| - - - |4| |6| - - - |7|8|9| - - - The player starts in room #4. To reach the final room, switches must be flipped to the green position in rooms 1, 3, 7 and 9. These switches are floating above the crystalline structures in rooms 1,3,7,9. In order to gain access to those switches, an additional switch in the same room must be flipped to the green position. In room #1, the switch is sitting inside one of the floating copper structures. In room #3, the switch is sitting on the roof of the floating room. In room #7, the switch is directly below the crystalline tructure. In room #9, the switch is at the bottom of one of the four "Washington Monument" structures. After the four switches above the crystalline structures are flipped, the player can return to room #4 (the room they started in), and the two "Washington Monument" structures will open up at the top to reveal teleporters that will transport the player to the final room. /~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\ [PO3] PO'ed Sampler V.3 \_________________/ Rejuvinate Press A, B, and C at the same time for all your health, laser ---------- power, and maximum missiles (100). Overhead View Press Pause and A at the same time for an overhead view. ------------- Ls and Rs zoom. Unlimited Health Press Ls Rs and Pause at the same time for unlimited health. ---------------- Space The wall opposite the first teleporter is weak. Shoot it. Also try with ----- unlimited health on. /~~~~~~~~~~~\ [PML] Primal Rage \___________/ Volleyball This is available only in two player mode. When in the Cove ---------- (Sauron's stage), wait for a human to appear and begin worshipping. This usually happens after a player has performed a large combo or has caused significant damage to the other player. The player closest to the human must knock the human into the air. The other player must hit the human back toward his opponent. The first player should continue to hit the human back to his opponent. After a while, a net and judge will appear, allowing volleyball to be played with humans. Bowling This is available only in two player mode. When on the Strip ------- (Talon's stage), both players must play as Armadon. Players must alternate performing the Spinning Death move (1 + 3, Away, Toward, Down) to each other. One player should block while the other performs the move and vice-versa. Each player must do this approximately five times. After this, both players must perform the Spinning Death move simultaneously a few times. If done correctly, both players and their worshippers will walk off screen for a bowling game. Humans are used as pins, and the players bowl themselves by using the Spinning Death move. Skydiving Cows This is available only in two player mode. When in the Ruins -------------- (Chaos' stage), one player must be playing as Chaos in a Sudden Death round. Allow the match timer run down to about two to three seconds. At the this point, the player using Chaos must perform the Fart of Fury move (2 + 3, Down, Toward, Up, Away) so that the cloud remains in the air after time expires. If done correctly, the falling meteors will turn to falling cows. Moves 1= High Quick, 2=High Fierce, 3=Low Quick, 4=Low Fierce ----- A=away, D=down, T=toward, U=up, AD =down&away, etc. Moves with a '*' are fatalities. Bring your vehicles back to your bunker before they are completely destroyed. The Bunker will repair all damage. B. You can self-destruct by pressing [A]+[B]+[C]. You will sacrifice the vehicle, but it's a quick way to get back to your bunker. C. Never cross bridges with Drones on your tail. Drones will continue to fire at you as you move and will destroy the bridge behind you. D. Keep moving to avoid enemy Drones. Drones are launched when you stop moving. E. The submarine is deadly and cannot be destroyed. Once it fires a heat seeking missile at you, you're dust.... unless something else is closer to the missile. The missile really is heat-seeking and if something else - say a drone or even your enemy - is closer to the missile, it will be taken out and not you (even if you're the one that caused the sub to surface!)! With a bit of practice, the heat-seeking missile can be used quite creatively. F. Always check the map when you're in the bunker. It is constantly updated and will show you how the terrain has changed. It will also show your enemy's position on the map as he moves around. II. TWO PLAYER HINTS A. Learn to play very well. B. If your enemy finds your flag, take your Jeep and go retrieve your own flag. Then, either: 1. Hide it behind a building near turrets. 2. Move it to the farthest location on the map. 3. Bring it back to your own Bunker. (It will be randomly placed in a new Flag Tower.) - or - 4. You can take it out to sea, and it will slowly float back to shore. (Let your enemy have fun trying to find a moving flag!) C. Lay mines on: 1. The enemy's useful bridges instead of destroying the bridge. Talk to Belle about the man who purchased the perfume bottle. Just exhaustively ask/answer her questions. Buy perfume number 4: Cote D'Azur. Belle will go into the storage room to get it this is your chance to talk to the cleaning woman. Again, ask her about the man who purchased the perfume bottle. Go to 221b Baker Street and go inside your house. Use flower on lab table; use flower on microscope. Use oil-wicker burner. Use flower on flask. Use powdery residue on lab table. Use residue on flask. Use oil-wicker burner. Use reside on test tube. Go outside and give flower to Wiggins (the boy next to the newspaper stand). Follow the dialogue and she'll give you a note saying you can have access to Anna Carroway's dressing room. Pump the elderly woman for ALL the information you can; it's crucial she tells you that Sarah's boyfriend (the one who HATES Sarah's pendant) name's is JAMES. Go down and show the note to the manager. You need to open up the drawer inside the dressing room. Talk to Watson so he can distract the manager by going into the closet searching for something. Open the drawer and look at the middle one. Get the ring of keys. Leave the opera and ... Go to 221b Baker Street. Wiggins should be back by now. If not just wander around other locations until he is. He'll tell you that he's located the flower seller in Covent Gardens. Go to Covent Gardens. Talk to the young girl selling flowers. Buy a flower from her first and then pump her for all the info she's got! Pick up the flower bouquet in the barrel. Use the wire basket in the barrel to get the cuff-links. Go into the Moongate pub. Ask the bartender (publican) about the cuff links. Then ask him about the guy who came into the bar. You'll have to beat him at darts before he gives you this bit of info. Challenge the other three drunks. Beat them and then challenge the bartender. Go to Hattington Street Chemist. Buy any potion from the chemist first. Then talk to the stockboy. Pump him for all he's got. Go to South Kensington Field. Now the guy you're looking for his named James. You need these three pieces of info. in order to find him. What he smokes (from the cleaning lady in Belle's Perfumerie), his name (from the elderly woman in the opera), and his physical appearance (from Belle of Belle's Perfumerie). If you have all that then talk to the coach & James will come running out from the field. Talk to him about Sarah Carroway. Then lower the boom by showing him the perfume bottle! Go to the Dormitory. Talk to James; in the end he won't believe his beloved Sarah's dead until you bring him PROOF ... like a death certificate. If anyone managed to snag the certificate from the Morgue let me know! I can't do it. Instead let's bring James something else ... like a NEWSPAPER! Go to 221b Baker Street. Talk to Jonas the newspaper seller. Tell him that you want last week's paper. Then talk to Wiggins as he can get it for you. (Actually he HAS it.) Go to the Dormitory. Show the newspaper to James. Now while he's all depressed fire those questions away! Go to St. Bernard's Publick House. Talk to the billiard players and the spectator. You won't get much from them initially. The player in the yellow sweater (Jack Mahoney) has the info. you need. After talking to the trio, talk to the bartender. Ask him about the marriage status of Jack Mahoney. Then talk to Jack again. He'll probably tell you to bug off at first, but then he'll listen when you threaten to tell his wife about his mistress. He'll give in and tell you where Antonio Caruso's flat is. Go to Antonio Caruso's flat. Talk to Antonio.Ask him all the questions you can. He'll tell you the location of Anna Carroway's flat and a little boy who's attached to Anna and how he likes to play with a gyroscope. Go to Anna Carroway's flat. Ring the doorbell or pull the knocker a couple of times first. Then you can just use the ring of keys to open up the door and go on in. Look at the silver salver and get the calling cards. Be sure to grab the calling card of Jacob Farthington, Barrister. You can ignore the calling card of Antonio Caruso. Now MOVE the left plant pot to spill over some dirt. Go upstairs and talk to the cleaning lady. Tell her you spilled some dirt downstairs. When she's gone move the statue and get the book. Look at the book. Go to The Law Officer of Jacob Farthington. Talk to him and he'll tell you the whole sob story of the Carroway's family. Go to 221b Baker Street. Talk to Wiggins and get his gyroscope. Go to Picnic Site and Playground. Use gyroscope on solitary boy. Talk to him and then GIVE him the gyroscope. He's going to leave his cap. Take it and LOOK at his cap. Go to Eddington's Equestrian Shop. Talk to the counterman. Shockwave : Official Solution to All the Levels ----------------------------------------------- Mission 1 - Egypt 3 Objectives: 1 - Valley of the Kings: Destroy all aliens here in order to get your first objective done. You have 18 aliens to destroy there. (10 walker (tripods) and 8 flying aliens (Scout)). Be careful here because one tripod slowly tries to escape on the left of the path. If you are really slow, you may not be able to destroy it. 2 - Giza: Destroy all aliens here in order to get your second objective done. You have 15 aliens to destroy there. (10 regular tripods + 2 strong tripods + 3 Scouts ). 3 - Cairo: Destroy all aliens here in order to get your third objective done. You have 20 aliens to destroy there + 1 Big Boss. (4 regular tripods + 8 stronger tripods + 8 Scouts + 1 fortress).. To destroy the Boss, use the missile you have. Avoid absolutely to be too close. Launch 1 or 2 missiles from far and then Make a U-Turn and redo the approach. Hints: * To accomplish this mission you don't have to destroy any other aliens than the ones present on these three sites. But, you may want to destroy the 3 tripods present on the refinery site in the middle of some fuel tanks. If you destroy these 3 tripods but destroy nothing from the refinery than you find later on the left of the path a bonus Refueler. * You have in this mission 4 possible Refueler. The second is conditioned by your performance in the refinery and the fourth is there only if you made the 2 first objectives. * lways check that the last Refueler you saw is not turning anymore before having it out of your path. You may sometime refuel twice. Basically, when you see a Refueler, do a first refueling, then destroy the aliens after this Refueler and then return to this Refueler. * On an objective place, it's generally better to destroy the flying aliens and then the ground aliens. Try to keep your missile for the flying aliens. * Except if you want to make a high score, don't waste your time and energy destroying all the aliens on your way. Stay focused on your objectives. Mission 2 - Peru 2 Objectives: You only have 2 objectives here in the Peru Mission. Destroy all the Aliens in the 2 towns and you will have achieved your objectives Hints: * Shoot all the air alien forces then attack ground forces. * Use refueler in the Andes and fly directly to Lima to shoot your way to the end. * Very easy mission. Mission 3 - Las vegas -Los Angeles 5 Objectives: Las Vegas: Destroy all aliens here in order to get your first objective done. You have 20 aliens to destroy there. (3 Tripods - 5 Collectors - 7 Scouts - 5 Interceptors). Riverside: Destroy all aliens here in order to get your second objective done. You have 25 aliens to destroy there. (4 Tripods - 7 Collectors - 3 Scouts - 5 Interceptors - 3 MobileAA -1 HeatSeeker - 2 Swarms). You must also destroy the 4 powerCells but NOT the prison. Pasadena: Destroy all aliens here in order to get your third objective done. You have 19 aliens to destroy there. (3 Tripods - 3 strong Tripods - 2 Collectors - 3 Interceptors - 2 MobileAA -5 HeatSeeker s- 1 Swarm). You must also destroy the 4 powerCells but NOT the prison. BurBank: Destroy all aliens here in order to get your fourth objective done. You have 20 aliens to destroy there. (6 strong Tripods - 3 Collectors - 3 Interceptors - 4 MobileAA - 3 HeatSeekers - 1 Scout). Be careful here because 2 MobileAA quickly try to escape on the left of the path. If you are not fast enough in the beginning of this objective, you may not be able to destroy them. Los Angeles: Destroy all aliens here in order to get your fifth objective done. You have 15 aliens to destroy there(5 Scouts - 4 strong Tripods - 6 Swarms). You also have to destroy a fast moving new craft called Cobras (their number depends on your performance on the first objectives). You have to destroy 12 PowerCells in order to free 3 prisons. Finally, you have to be careful with the satellite dishes. Don't destroy more than 1. Hints: * On Las Vegas, if you don't destroy any civil building, then you get two bonuses: o Your first Refueler is going to be full, else it's going to be partial. This first Refueler is not visible on your radar because a tripod is exactly at the same position. o An extra Refueler in Riverside, far on the left of the path, invisible on the radar. * You need to protect the Atomic Power Plant form the Collectors walking towards it (else you're probably dead) and also save the 6 close towers from the tripods. If you save them, then you get an extra Refueler far on the left of the path in Los Angeles. * After Pasadena, in the Refinery region, you have a partial Refueler (invisible on your radar) on the right of the path. * To destroy a Swarm, just shoot the immobile one. Mission 4 - England 4 Objectives: * Destroy all transport vehicles and aliens in the first section. ICE will tell you when you have completed this stage. * Destroy all transports in the next section. This means all alien ships and transport units. * This one is a little tricky. ICE tells you that you might be OK to ust fly by this cluster of aliens. However, this is a mission obective so you must destroy everything in this region. The aliens also will leave the screen so you have to be very careful not to let anything get past you. * There is a construction sight that ICE tells you to destroy. It is a line of alien ground-to-air "directors" that can cause extreme damage to the shields of the craft. Hints: * At the end of of mission, there is a line of alien ground-to-air "Directors" that fire at you. Destroy the center one and use your thrusters to move past them. This will complete the obective. * When you are past the construction site you will come across a lot of aliens and a helicopter. The helicopter is used to pick up Howser, so if you accidentally blow up the helicopter , you have failed the mission. Mission 5 Hawaii Introduction: Your main goal is to destroy the communication systems (Radar) and then to save the Kennedy. 5 Objectives: 1st Radar Site: (ground) Find and destroy the first group of 5 Radar. (Listen to ICE). Prisoners Rescue Operation: (sea) You have to free 2 groups of 2 barges of prisoners. For that, destroy the two leading alien boats without destroying the 4 barges and the Love Boat. 2nd Radar Site: (sea) Find and destroy the second group of 7 Radar. (Listen to ICE). 3rd Radar Site: (sea) Find and destroy the third group of 5 Radar. (Listen to ICE). Kennedy Rescue Operation: (sea) Destroy all the aliens surrounding the Kennedy and avoid the Kennedy to be destroyed. You will have to destroy 15 to 19 aliens (or less if you succeed in your first objectives). They are: 2 Skeeters, 5 Skimmers, 4 Submarines, 3 Scouts, 1 to 5 Cobras (depending on your previous performances). To end this final objective, you have to destroy the final Boss, named "Morphing Tower". Don't get to close of it to avoid to start the morphing operation. Hints: * In the middle of the volcano, you have to destroy a 'Pumper' that provide the energy of the Energy fence located on the land between objective 4 and 5. If you destroy this pumper, the fence will be inactive, else the fence will be active and very dangerous. * On the Prisioner rescue operation (Objective 2) you have to be very careful on what vessels you destroy. The lead vessels you have destroy are actually the last ones when you are flying towards them. They are going in the same direction as your flight path. There are two sets of ships so destroy them both. Be very careful on the second one because there is a ship right next to it. If you destroy the ship, you won't be able to pick up the prisoners and won't complete the objective. * Between the objective 4 and 5, you'll find 3 giant alien boats. Destroy them and you'll get a bonus Refueler on the right of the Path after the Kennedy location. * Between the objectives 3 and 4 (two radar location), you can find on the left of the path a extra Refueler not displayed on your radar. * Avoid to get to close of the Kennedy, you may collide with it and with the "Special Force Shield arming your aircraft, you may destroy the Kennedy already fragile. Mission 6 - Utah 6 Objectives: * Destroy the three escavators just past the wall of AA's. * Destroy the four escavators past another wall of AA's * Destroy the first egg sight. It is guarded by a lot of alien units so once you have destroyed it, use your thrusters and get past them. * Destroy another four escavators. ICE will tell you once you've completed that there are no egg sights left. * Destroy another egg sight. Use the same tatical strategy as you did with destroying the first egg sight. * Destroy the giant alien in the city of Dubway. Hints: * To destroy the escavators you need to hit them with two nuke missiles and some random laser fire. * There are two ways to destroy the egg sight: o Destroy the egg itself by using your missiles and lasers on it. o Destroy the surrounding alien units and thte egg will automatically be destroyed. * When you confront the giant alien in Dubway don't worry about destroying the building because all you need to do is to destroy the alien to pass the objective. * There are a lot of aliens in this mission that you don't need to kill. Don't waste your time with them because all they do is drain your missiles and lasers. Use your thrusters and get past them. * There is a hidden fuel drone in the canyon that is not on the radar. Mission 7 - Mexico 4 Objectives: * Destroy the two escavators and the first egg sight. Remember that they are both heavily guarded so you must be precise when attacking them. * Destroy the second egg sight. Use the same technique that you used in mission 6. * Destroy the third egg sight. * Destroy the robotic type aliens. There are three and they are heavily armored so you will have to use both missiles and lasers to destroy them. Hints: * The two escavators in the first objective need to be hit with three missiles and some random laser fire to be destroyed. * Destroy the fortress and receive a better fuel drone later in the mission. * Destroy the four flying alien units "Hunters" or they will follow you throughout each section. Mission 8 - Congo 4 Objectives: * Destroy the landing pads and everything inside the first two silos. * Destroy everything in the next two silos. It is very important that all the eggs are destroyed in order to complete the objective. * Destroy all the landing pads. ICE will tell you that this is very important! * Destroy the spider alien. Hints: * The first fuel drone is guarded by mines. To disable the mines and create a clear path to the fuel drone you must take out the magnetic field underneath the fuel drone. Then take out the two radar stations just over the hill. There is also a tri-pod alien that must be destroyed. * There is a giant alien directly after a fuel drone near the end of objective one. You need to fly through really fast and fire your missiles immediately. The continious fire from the missiles will destroy the alien. After completing this, fly slowly back through the fuel drone and regain the missiles you lost. * The third silo that you have to destroy is really tricky! After you have destroyed all the eggs you will have to manuever your craft past a set of steel fangs. If your ship gets hit in any way by the steel fangs, you will be destroyed. You must use your thrusters time your exit out of that silo just right to go onto the next objective. * In the last objective, you will be confronted by a giant spider-type alien. You should destroy the magnetic field first then start using your missiles on the alien. Once you have depleated your ammo, there is a fuel drone directly to the west side of the screen that will enhance your shields and missiles. Mission 9 - Paris (Clouds) 7 Objectives: * Destroy the first communication tower. * Destroy the second communication tower * Destroy the third communication tower * Destroy the fourth communication tower * Destroy the fifth and sixth communication towers * Destroy the giant snake alien. You might have to double back and hit it a few times with missiles lasers in order to destroy it. Hints: * When destroying any of the communication towers, you want to destroy the big unit first. After it is destroyed, you can pick off the little communication devices that surround it. Make sure that you make good use out of your fuel drones because there are a lot of swarming alien units that guard these communication devices. * After you pick up the first two 02 generators you will be confronted by a giant snake like alien. Make sure that you don't get too close to it because the damage it gives out is deadly. Also make sure that you don't destroy the third 02 generator when trying to destroy the alien. If the third 02 generator is destroyed you will not be able to complete the mission. Mission 10 - Moon(Mothership) 1 Objective: * Reach the mother brain and destroy it. It will take a while to reach it because it is located in the back of the mother ship. Hints: * Use your thrusters a lot to bypass many of the aliens. Since there is only one objective, it would be wise not to waste much time on alien units firing at you. * When you reach the mother ship there will be a fuel drone directly above it. Don't use it, destroy it. It will start firing at you if you get too close to it. * Watch the surface of the moon for magnetic fields. They can be quite annoying if you are stuck in one. * Scattered throughout the mother ship are "Pumpers" . They don't fire at you, but take out as many as possible because it makes killing the mother brain easier. * When you approach the mother brain try to destroy the aliens surrounding it first instead of hitting it straight on.. Mission 3 - Io There are four objectives in this mission. Counter 192: Destroy the 3 radars so the first landing site can be ambushed. Counter 145 (approximate): Use the Refueler to upgrade from Hellfires to the more powerful Nukes. Until counter 17, all Refuelers will supply Nukes. Counter 137 (Objective 1): Nuke all aliens on ground. This task is easier if the radar sites at counter 192 were destroyed. Counter 105: Destroy the three radars so the second landing site can be ambushed. Counter 87 (Objective 2): Nuke all aliens on ground. This task is easier if the radar sites at counter 105 were destroyed. Counter 46: Destroy the three radars so that the third landing site can be ambushed. Counter 30 (Objective 3): Nuke all aliens on ground. This task is easier if the radar sites at counter 46 were destroyed. Counter 17: This Refueler downgrades your missiles to Hellfires. Counter 3: (Objective 4) Destroy the massive target to complete the mission. Mission 4 - Titan There is one objective in this mission. Counter 219: Destroy the four beacons to prevent repulsing pylons (the same as in Mission 1) from appearing at counter 188. Counter 159: Destroy the large alien that is blocking the flight path. Counter 137 (Objective 1): Escort the science ship safely throughout the whole mission. Aliens will not only fire at you, but also the science ship. The science ship appears at counter 137. Do not go too far ahead of the ship, or it will be destroyed and the mission will terminate immediately. Stay slightly in front of the ship and kill all aliens to clear a path. When the science ship starts losing its shields, it will turn from blue to red. Counter 98: The science ship will land at the first ruin site. Counter 40: The science ship will land at the second ruin site. Mission 5 - Asteroid There is one objective in this mission. Counter 243: Destroy the six buildings that appear in the first half of the mission to obtain an extra Refueler later. The buildings are located at counters 243 (2), 113, 111, 104 (2). Counter 194: Destroy the four power generators. If they are not destroyed, no more Refuelers will appear. The power generators are located at counters 194 (2), 181, and 179. Counter 153: Destroy the four radar jamming devices. If they are not destroyed, your radar screen will be inoperable. The radar jamming stations are located at counters 153, 146, 142, and 132. Counter 113: Destroy the large alien. If it is not destroyed here, it will reappear two more times during the mission. Counter 25 (Objective 1): Destroy the six tuning fork aliens. This will remove the energy fence. The large alien (the source of the energy field that protects the Jumpgate) within the fence will start to retreat. A lot of lasers hits and Hellfires are needed to destroy it. /~~~~~~~~~~~\ [SW2] Shockwave 2 \___________/ Game bug A bug in the game prevent players from winning the Hovercraft and -------- Fighter simulator missions. Codes These codes can be activated during interactive gameplay in any ----- ShockWave2 mission. This is directly from EA. * To initiate the secret codes hit the PAUSE key on the joypad controller while using the laser. (IMPORTANT, Laser must be visible on the screen when pausing). Basically, you press the laser key, quickly release it and then quickly press the PAUSE key. * When in PAUSE, type all the As, Bs, Cs and Es from the following secret code word: 'THREE BABES IN A CAR' Only the As, Bs, Cs and Es must be entered, nothing else. Letter A, B and C are entered by pressing respectively the A, B and C button. The Letter E is entered by pressing the right shift. * When done typing the code, hit the QUIT key (square key). Instead of quitting, the game will continue and you will have entered the secret cheat state. You are now a shockwave2 GOD !!! Attention ========= When you just start a mission, you must always enter the "God Code" before using any other code. This "God Code" is necessary to have any other codes working. Walkthru -------- System 1, Planet 1 - Hoelinwaa There are three objectives in this mission. If the radar towers at the beginning of mission are not destroyed within 45 seconds, stronger fighters will be encountered. Objective 1: Seek and destroy the seven outposts in various areas of the map. Objective 2: Pass through energy fence before it closes again. If the fence powers up, the fighters at entrance must be destroyed before the fence will power down again. Objective 3: Enter the compound and destroy the base to force it to surrender. ________________________________________________________________ System 1, Planet 2 - Sarconia There are three objectives in this mission. Objective 1: Deactivate the force field. Note: The transmitter must be loaded in the ship's configuration (only available after completing Hoelinwaa) before beginning this mission in order to deactivate force field. The ship must also fly over them in a certain pattern that can only be obtained after completing Meskeni. Use pattern three in the video. Objective 2: Seek and destroy the four guard towers in various areas of the map. Objective 3: Find the prison and destroy the four gun turrets that protect it . Objective 2 must be completed prior to this. Comment: Destroy the power plant, two communication arrays, and industrial building site to encounter weaker enemy fighters. These actions are not based on a time limit. ________________________________________________________________ System 1, Planet 3 - Meskeni There is one objective in this mission. Survive until the end of the mission without losing the rover. ________________________________________________________________ System 2, Planet 1 - Tesla There are four objectives in this mission. Destroy all the fighters encountered before reaching the drop zone. Fewer fighters will be present in the later portions of the mission. Objective 1: Clear the drop zone at coordinates 065-014 for the rescue team. Three missile towers and six fighters must be destroyed. Objective 2: Get the transponder from the special Refueler that will arrive in the drop zone after it has been cleared. Fly over the deactivation switch to enter the compound. Your guns are not powerful enough to attack the fortress yet. Objective 3. Get a power-up from the Refueler located at coordinates 034-046. Return to the fortress and destroy it. Do not use the laser on anything but the fortress since it is limited to about one second of use. Objective 4: Destroy all the fighters and hovercraft in the compound while Truk is being rescued. Comment: Some of the missile-launching fighters do not approach your ship. The mission cannot be completed until the remaining fortress defenders are destroyed. ________________________________________________________________ System 2, Planet 2 - Khasla There are three objectives in this mission. Destroy the Pumper buildings that are providing the shields for the guns protecting the first teleporter. Use the first teleporter to reach the main island. Objective 1: Proceed to the southeast corner of the main island and destroy the tower and gun installations. This will make all of the guns protecting the three new teleporters vulnerable to your weapons. The teleporter on the right side (eastern) leads back to the first island from the beginning of the mission. The teleporter in the middle (northern) leads to the third island and the waste disposal tower. The teleporter on the left side (western) leads to the fourth and final island with the main hive. Use the teleporter in the middle (northern) to the third island with the waste disposal tower. Destroy all of the surrounding buildings to make the waste disposal tower vulnerable to your weapons. Objective 2: Destroy the waste disposal tower to dramatically decrease the shields on the final alien hive tower for three minutes. Teleport back to the main island and take the teleporter on the left side (western) to the final island. Proceed to the southwestern corner of the map where the main alien hive is located. It is protected by three gun towers. Objective 3 : Destroy the main alien hive to successfully complete the mission. The alien hive can be defeated without destroying the waste disposal tower, but requires a lot of firepower (fire all weapons, refuel, and fire all weapons again). Comment: Do not approach the edge of the gully areas or brown ground. Stay over the green ground to avoid gravity mines. ________________________________________________________________ System 3, Planet 1 - Ockkalish There is one objective in this mission. Survive until the end of the mission without losing the excavator. ________________________________________________________________ System 3, Planet 2 - Ak-Quwa There are two objectives in this mission. One of the main challenges in this mission is navigating through the maze without falling in the lava. The first blocker is turned off by destroying the energy spheres located on either side of the path. There are several gates that must be powered down by traveling through two objects on the path prior to the gate. The power downs of the gates are timed, so move at full throttle. As the area containing the Nom Shar piece is entered, several spheres will be encountered. They will chase your ship and cause damage. To avoid wasting ammunition, hide behind the pillars on the right side of the path and destroy any remaining spheres. Objective 1: Destroy the sphere within the force field. Your ship must pass through the gates located on either side of the compound. The two gates are set randomly. If the correct gate is not picked on the first attempt, both gates need to be entered. Objective 2: Collect the Nom Shar piece. Comment: Configure your ship with the Shot Disrupter before starting the mission. This will temporarily disable the shots of the indestructible pair of towers in this mission. Do not blow-up the Nom Shar piece when the guardian boss is destroyed. ________________________________________________________________ System 3, Planet 3 - Noabae There are five objectives in this mission. The jamming stations may be destroyed in any particular order. Use the compass to keep track of which sectors have already been searched. Objective 1: Seek and destroy the north jamming station. Objective 2: Seek and destroy south jamming station. Objective 3: Seek and destroy east jamming station. Objective 4: Seek and destroy west jamming station. Objective 5: Collect the Nom Shar piece that was located in one of the stations. Comment: There are five areas in this mission. The central area (with the aliens, buildings, and rocks) is where the mission begins. There are four separate areas radiating out from the central one. All of the outside areas are separated by mountains. Your ship can only move from one to the other by returning to the central area and finding the next low mountain range. Find the jamming station immediately upon entering one of the outside areas and destroy it. Listen to what ICE says after a radar station is destroyed. If ICE states "the artifact is not in this sector", return to the central area and try another section. If ICE says "the artifact is not in that building" after destroying a radar station, the artifact is in that area. Explore the area and destroy buildings until ICE states that the artifact has been found. Then, turn the ship around and fly back over the Nom Shar piece. There is a Refueler in each of the four outlying areas. Use them before returning to the middle area. Unfortunately, almost all of the Refuelers are on hillsides and are difficult to access. ________________________________________________________________ System 4, Planet 1 - Roswell There are four objectives in this mission. Objective 1: When starting the mission, the four structures jamming the Big Tuna's transmission must be destroyed. The lone standing teleporter is not functioning at this point. Find the two teleporters that are located next to each other and use the one on the right side. It will transport your ship to the Pericata power station, which resembles a satellite. Objective 2: Destroy the power station. There is a teleporter in the same corner of the map. It will transport your ship to the Pericata force field center, which is a structure with three points. Objective 3: Destroy the force field center. Return to the two teleporters and use the one on the left side. Your ship will be transported near a square silver building. Destroy the building to encounter fewer fighters when defending Big Tuna. Teleport back and use the lone teleporter that was not working previously. Objective 4: Defend Big Tuna's run to the Pericata command center. The mission will be completed when the command center is destroyed by Big Tuna. ________________________________________________________________ System 5, Planet 1 - Onari There is one objective in this mission. Survive until the end of the mission without losing the rover. ________________________________________________________________ System 5, Planet 2 - Weneri There are five objectives in this mission. When starting the mission, try to move eastward when the terrain allows. The fortresses can only be destroyed by missiles and special weapons. Objective 1: Destroy the first fortress. Objective 2: Destroy the second fortress. Objective 3: Destroy the third fortress. Objective 4: Destroy all brain posts located at the final destination. Objective 5: Destroy the brain. ________________________________________________________________ System 6, Planet 1 - Boleni There is one objective in this mission. Survive until the end of the mission without losing the rover. Comment: To complete the mission all of the incoming aliens, including the mother ships, must be destroyed. If the mission does not end immediately, aim upwards and destroy any large flying aliens. They appear as white dots on the radar display. ________________________________________________________________ System 6, Planet 2 - Drimmun There are six objectives in this mission. The hills on this planet are covered with radioactive material that will damage your ship. Turn into the first canyon on the left. Objective 1: Clear the valley, which will create a distraction that will allow Jenkins to be rescued. Continue to the next valley. Objective 2: Protect the Sensci jammer tower by destroying all attacking Bruntshen. To continue, the three repulsers at the entrance to the next valley must be destroyed. The repulsers will regenerate quickly. Blast them and move past at full throttle. In the next valley there is a star shaped blocker with strong shields that must be destroyed. There are also six gun towers. Destroying them allows access to a Refueler. Move northeast towards the teleporter. Two towers supplying energy to the teleporter's defensive guns must be destroyed. Use the teleporter to the west of the towers. Your ship will be transported to three more teleporters that are activated by flying over a switch located in the middle of this area. Once the switch has been flown over, one teleporter will be activated; flying over the switch again will deactivate the active teleporter and activate another. The teleporter to the far right side will transport your ship to the northeast energy transmitter. It is surrounded by repulsers that cannot be destroyed. Objective 3: Destroy the northeast energy transmitter while defending your ship from enemy fighters. Move to the right side of the repulsers and use the teleporter. This will return your ship to the group of three teleporters. Fly over the switch until the teleporter on the far left is activated. Use this teleporter to transport your ship to the south east energy transmitter. Objective 4: Destroy the southeast energy transmitter. Use the teleporter to transport your ship back to the group of three teleporters. Fly over the switch until the middle teleporter is activated. Use this teleporter to return to the first teleporter that was encountered in the mission. After arriving, immediately turn 180 degrees. This will place your ship in the direction of the Jumpgate control center (east). It takes a lot of timing, but it can be done! :) Shot percentage To see what your chances are to make a certain jump --------------- shot, hold left shift during the black screen. [This will only last until for the first half, unfortunately.] Small players Tap right shift during the black screen, then once the ------------- game has started, pause and unpause. Big heads (normal sized players) Alternate Left shift and C during the --------- black screen. Kim is carried away into Borf's huge spaceship. Borf flies out on a hover pad to destroy Dexter. Press Left to hide behind a rock when Borf fires his laser. Press Left again to avoid another blast. A wide view of the cliff leading to Dexter's spacecraft appears. Flying robots begin to move towards Dexter. Run to the boulder by pressing Right. Robots continue to follow. Press Right again. The word "Energize" flashes at the bottom of the screen. This indicates a decision must be made to energize Dexter and turn him into Ace. Both choices will work, but will lead to different sets of moves for this scene. Ace: Press B to energize while running along the cliff. Dexter transforms into Ace! A robot grabs him. Press B to shoot it. The ground becomes shaky. Press Right to jump to safety. A top view of the cliff appears and the robot in front of Ace fires off in several directions at once. Press Left to jump to the left cliff. Press Right to quickly jump back, and press B to fire before Ace lands in order to destroy the harmful robot (timing is critical). Dexter's ship appears nearby. Press Left to jump over the hole on the cliff. Ace's energy runs out and he turns back into Dexter. Proceed to the Dexter moves to finish this scene. Dexter: The dirt bashers are after Dexter. Do not wait for the arms of the dirt bashers to go up before jumping over the holes. Press Left repeatedly, with no respect to proper timing to complete this scene. ------------------------------- The Black Spheres Dexter takes off in his space ship towards Borf's ship, but first he must navigate through a storm of black spheres. Dexter tries to contact Kimberly. "Kimberly, come in. Are you okay?", he asks. Kimberly replies, "Oh sure, I'm just kidnapped by aliens, that's all." "I'll save you Kimmy!", Dexter promises. She screams, "Get me out of heeere!" This scene can be presented in many ways. Each direction the ship is steered can lead to different paths. Note which way the ship veers after the first move to determine which way the rest of the scene must be completed. The first move is always Up. If the ship veers to the right of the first shot, press Right for the second move. The next move may be up or down, both of which are acceptable. If Up was pressed, the ship flies straight towards a green sphere. Blast it by pressing B. The ship flies up a tower. Press Right to make a sharp turn into a corridor. Another green sphere is encountered. Press B, then press Down to turn sharply down a tunnel. The way looks open, except for a green sphere. Press B. If Down was pressed, make a quick turn by pressing Right and then Up. Dexter drops down from a ceiling hatch into a corridor on Borf's spaceship. A light beam shoots towards Dexter. Quickly jump forward by pressing Up. This scene is reversible. Dexter should jump towards the flashing light. If the light flashes to the left, press Left. Dexter avoids two other flashes of light. "Alert! Unidentified personnel on level one!", states the computer. Press Up. "Seal off all exits on level one!". Press Up. The word "Energize" flashes on the bottom of the screen. Ace: Press B to energize Dexter into Ace. Ace chuckles. Press Left to quickly jump towards the flashing corridor. He runs into an alien guard. Press B to shoot him. The corridor up ahead flashes, press Up. Jump Ace through a circular corridor by pressing Up. Another guard is confronted. Press B. Ace loses his powers and turns back into Dexter who exclaims, "Far out!". Jump towards the flashing hallway by pressing Left. Kimberly appears on a video screen, begging for help. Dexter has the choice of jumping through two holes in the wall. Press either Left or Right to complete the scene. Dexter: Wait until the hallway ahead flashes, then press Up. Press Up to escape another beam of light. Dexter runs down the same hallways again. Press Left to move towards the flashing hallway. Run down the hall and avoid the beams by pressing Up. The computer will states, "Seal off all exits on level one!". Run forward again by pressing Up. Press Left to take a turn towards the flashing corridor. Press Up to run forward. Kimberly appears on the huge video screen, and is hauled off by aliens. Two circular holes are at the end of the hall. Press Left or Right to complete the scene. Dexter will slide down a pole to a lower deck of the ship. ------------------------------- The Platforms This scene is reversible. Dexter is at the entrance to a room. A turret on the ceiling shines a red light that can melt him into the floor. Observe which side of the screen the beam shines and move in the opposite direction! If the red light shines to the left, move Dexter by pressing Right. Press Right to move him again. Dexter must quickly run to the other side of the room before the security gun can rotate. Press Up, Up. Dexter must run through a diamond-shaped door. Press Up. Now in a new area, Dexter is faced with another menacing robot and has the choice to energize into Ace Dexter: Cowardly Dexter chooses to escape! Jump into the escape tunnel by pressing Left. Press Right to avoid the laser beam by jumping onto the moving platforms. The platforms crumble. Keep jumping by pressing Left, B, Left. Dexter slides down another pole to another part of Borf's ship. Ace: Press B to energize. Ace must shoot the spherical sentry floating above him. Press B. Press Right to get onto a conveyor belt. Shoot the robots above before they can do him any harm by pressing B, B. Jump over to the moving platform on the other beam by pressing Right. Ace enters a tunnel and into a psychedelic vortex. There are more robots to shoot. Press B, B. Unfortunately, Ace changes back into Dexter and the cool ride comes to a crashing end. Jump off by pressing either Left or Right. Dexter slides down to the next level of Borf's ship. ------------------------------- The Dogs and the Robots This scene is reversible. Dexter is being pursued by large green mutts with antlers who snarl his name. Run by pressing Up. Laser beams narrowly miss him and blast the dogs. Dexter must turn a sharp corner to the side. If the corner turns to the left, press Left. More alien dogs come at him from all directions, except to the right. Press Right. Dexter has the choice to energize into Ace. Ace: Press B to energize. Confidently, Dexter turns into the super hero. Ace grabs two of the dogs by the neck and crashes their heads together. Suddenly, he is standing between two armed robots! Jump away from the crossfire by pressing Right and let the robots destroy each other. Press Left to have Ace evade some blasts around a corner. He runs into another pack of hungry green space dogs. Shoot them by pressing B, then keep running by pressing Left. Ace confronts another armed robot. Press B. Things begin moving. Press Left, Left to have Ace run through the lane of traffic and fire bolts to a quieter avenue. Ace loses his power and turns back into Dexter. Dogs chase him again. Press Right to make a quick turn towards the flashing light. Dexter scurries up the ladder and escapes all the explosions. Dexter: Instead of energizing, run away from the dogs by pressing Up. Turn down the street by pressing Right, then press Left to move towards the flashing light. More dogs will charge Dexter. Press Up to escape. Make a sharp turn towards the flashing avenue by pressing Right. Dexter climbs a ladder and everything explodes behind him. ------------------------------- The Junk Planet Dexter lands in a pile of trash and is suddenly picked up by a trash robot for disposal. The robot sprays a clear plastic bubble over him. Dexter must shoot his way out to avoid being jettisoned into space. Press B. Press Right and Up to leap across two moving platforms. Dexter runs into the trash robot again and is given the choice to energize into Ace. Ace: Press B to energize. A trash monster springs up in front of Ace. Press B to shoot it. Press Right to jump across a moving platform, where he meets the huge trash worm again. Press B. Having shot the monster, Ace must jump safely across to another ledge. Press Left. The terrible trash monster makes another appearance. Press B. Ace becomes Dexter again and must jump to a swinging ladder above. Press Up. Dexter: Press Right to jump to the other side of the walkway where the trash robot is cleaning. The robot captures Dexter again. Break free by pressing B. Dexter must avoid the trash compactor by jumping across a moving platform. Press Right. Things get hectic as the piles of trash become smaller. Dexter must jump over to a moving pillar of trash. Press Left. He must then move to another one. Press Right. The escape ladder hangs from above. Dexter must jump safely to it. Press Up. The entire scene is then repeated, in reverse. ------------------------------- The Dog Fight This scene is reversible. Press Left to escape the explosion in the spacecraft and move away from the fire. Dog fighters pursue the spaceship. Press Left to move out of their crosshairs and steer the ship upwards. All the ships fly into a winding tunnel. Steer through the tunnels and out of their firing range by pressing Right and then Right again. Timing is important. "I'll get you this time!" Press B to fire when the alien ship is in the crosshairs. Press B again to hit a second one. Steer the ship sharply up out of the first tunnel by pressing Up, then dive down into another tunnel by pressing Down. Another alien tries to attack. Press Up to move out of its crosshairs. Press B to take out another alien. A tower rises up in front of the ship. Press Up to bank up sharply. Another alien enters the crosshairs. Press B. Press Up to avoid being shot by another alien. Press B to take out the final alien. "Later Space Invaders!" The ship splashes down on the surface of another strange planet. The reversed version of this scene begins with pressing Right to move away from the explosion. ------------------------------- The Yellow Planet This scene is reversible. When Dexter emerges from his ship, he is attacked a huge purple plant monster. It grabs him. The only way to escape is to press B and shoot it. Huge monsters appear on either side. Press Up to escape forward. Dexter enters a cave and meets with blue space cats. He is given the chance to energize into Ace. Ace: Press B to energize and throw off the cats. A gigantic yellow monster jumps up in front of Ace. Press B to shoot it. Ace is on a narrow bridge. Press B to shoot at the yellow monster again. The yellow beast crushes the bridge with its hand and Ace must jump across to safety. Press Left or Right depending on the orientation of the scene. Dexter: Rather than energizing, press Up. Dexter runs forwards, away from the blue space cats. The cats chase Dexter to a narrow bending walkway, where a horrific plant creature appears. Press Up to dodge the plant and then press Left to do so again on another bend. The space cats are hot on Dexter's trail. Jump across to a rocky spire by pressing Left. The pillar is unstable. Jump to another one by pressing Right. Dexter must jump over to a rope. Press Left. He swings on the rope towards the mouth of a huge yellow monster. Quickly fire the gun by pressing B to escape. Dexter lands on an island with the blue cats in pursuit. Two flashing openings are ahead. Press Up to move ahead. Choose either opening to complete the scene. ------------------------------- The Dark Side This scene is reversible. Dexter falls down a deep pit, towards a pool of water and two converging walls of spikes. His only hope is to jump over to a hanging rope. Press Left. The rope drops Dexter even further into a subterranean passage, where Kimberly is waiting on a ledge. He shouts, "Kimmy!" Her hands are tied behind her back, and she simply says "Beware of your dark side!". Suddenly Kimberly transforms into an evil Dexter! The evil double shoots at Dexter. Press B to defend Dexter by firing the laser gun. Press Left to quickly jump into a hole in the ground to hide. Dexter's twin calls him a "coward". The top of the hole closes, trapping Dexter. The hole fills with water. Dexter must energize in order to escape. Press B. He breaks out of the cage-like hole as Ace. The evil Dexter has energized into an evil Ace and is now the size of a giant. Jump up to the top of a pillar to get to his level by pressing Up. The giant alter-ego will appear at the end of a walkway. Press B to shoot him. He grabs Dexter and tries to eat him. Climb away from his gaping mouth by pressing Left. The giant evil Ace has Dexter in the palm of his hand. Shoot at him with the gun by pressing B, and quickly jump down from his hand to his wrist by pressing Down. He shoots at Dexter with his gun. Press Right to jump out of the way and the shot hits the giant. Jump down further by pressing Right and the giant haphazardly finishes shooting himself. Jump over to the giant's foot by pressing Up. All that is left of Ace's evil self is a head. It rolls down the sloping pathway after Ace. Press Right to run, and press Up to take a sharp turn to escape. Ace turns back into Dexter. ------------------------------- The Motorcycle Chase This scene is reversible. Dexter runs through a doorway and is caught in a spiral tube. He lands on the back of a motorcycle. Against him are pig-bikers, the Big-Boys. The track is a winding checkerboard road. Pay attention to which way the pigs are facing on their bikes, that is the first direction Dexter should be moving. If the pigs are facing left on the screen, press Left to get away from them. The bike will spin around in the opposite direction and Dexter needs to keep going. Press Right. The pig-bikers are armed and they begin shooting at Dexter. Press B to shoot back. The bikes go up a very steep ramp and Dexter almost flies off the edge. "Yikes!", he exclaims. Dexter is given the chance to energize into Ace. Ace: Press B to energize. Ace's weight brings the bike down before it flies off the ramp. Ace rides the bike down the slope into a compound. Kimberly is being held inside. Shoot the pig-bikers coming up behind him by pressing B. Shoot more pig-bikers by pressing B. Kimberly is not grateful. "Thanks, I'll walk", she says. Press Right to snatch her out of the jaws of a giant pig. Kimberly jumps onto the back of the bike and Ace tries to escape. Kimberly says, "Dexter, the Infanto Ray's about to be fired at Earth." Ace rides the bike up a hill. Press Down to escape the giant pig again. Press Down to jump the bike across a chasm. Little pink fluffy monsters attack the bike. Shoot them away by pressing B, B, B. Ace runs into the pig-bikers again. Jump the bike off the road to escape by pressing Right. More little pink monsters attack. Press B. Ace runs into a group of pig-bikers. Press Left to take off in the opposite direction. More bikers block his path. Press Right. A top view of the floor is shown. Steer the bike away from the enemies by pressing Down. A final pink monster tries to nibble Ace and Kimberly to death. Press B. Ace turns back into Dexter. Dexter: To avoid flying off the end of the bike ramp, press Down. Dexter enters a complex where Kimberly is being held. Shoot the pig-bikers by pressing B to finish the scene. ------------------------------- The Roller Skates This scene is reversible. Dexter and Kimberly stare in awe at the Borf compound, which is on the other side of a maze of walkways. To get there quickly, Dexter and Kimberly strap on roller skates and navigate the sharp turns of the maze. Press Left and then Up and Right, to avoid the tickling machine. Dexter is given the choice to energize into Ace. Press B. There are broken points in the path that must be avoided by pressing Down and Right. A huge wall springs up in front of Ace and Kimberly on the pathway and must be avoided by pressing Left. Very sharp turns appear ahead which must be made quickly by pressing Right, Up, Left, Up, Right. Borf presses buttons on his computer, "Now we die!" ------------------------------- The Giant Eels This scene is reversible. Ace and Kimberly enter the Borf complex. The lower level is underwater. They must acquire the aqua-boots to propel themselves underwater. A giant eel attacks Ace and Kimberly. Press B to shoot it. Oxygen is running out. Press Left to move towards the eel and get to the oxygen tanks. Kimberly says "The Black Eel is in the tank!". Press Down to move Ace and Kimberly down quickly to avoid being slammed by the eel. The eel swings its tail at Ace and Kimberly. Press Left to move out of there. The eel chases the two heroes. Press Down to escape toward the flash of light. Press B to shoot the eel. Ace and Kimberly are sucked into its mouth. Ace changes back into Dexter. Baby octopus monsters are inside. Press B to shoot them. Press B to shoot the inside of the eel's mouth to open it. A rush of water enters. Press Press Left, Left. Dexter and Kimberly fight the waves and swim to the porthole for temporary safety. This scene is actually a continuation of previous scene. If Dexter dies during The Giant Eels, the game will result at The Roller Skates. If The Roller Skates scene is reversed, The Giant Eels scene will be as well. ------------------------------- The Final Confrontation Dexter and Kimberly sit on a giant sponge, with three entrances in front of them. They wonder which way to go. Choose any of the directions by pressing Left, Up or Right. They are sucked through the hole and land on top of a platform. Borf's guards rush in. Press B, B to defend Dexter. The guards capture Kimberly and run off with her. Borf sees Dexter and aims the Infanto Ray at him. Press Right, Right, Left to move Dexter out of the way. Dexter is given the chance to energize into Ace. Press B. Commander Borf attacks Ace with a pole in hand to hand combat. Press B, B to defend him. Ace falls on the platform and Borf swings his pole down. Press Right to roll Ace out of the way. Kimberly screams for help from her rising platform over the lava. Press B to defend Ace in hand to hand combat. Press B. Ace falls on his back and pushes Borf up with his pole. Borf swings his pole low. Press Up and Ace jumps over it. Borf swings his pole high. Press Down and Ace ducks. Press B. Ace swings his pole at Borf again. Borf kicks Ace in the face and forces him to drop his pole. Press Right and Ace moves to retrieve it. Press Up and Ace dodges one of Borf's blows and tries to get his pole. Borf kicks high. Press Down and Ace ducks. Kimberly tries to tell Ace the location of the Infanto Ray. Press Up and Ace drops his pole and jumps on Borf's back. Borf's guards pose a danger. Press Left and Ace jumps over to a rope. He swings to the Kimberly's platform, which is sinking in the lava. Press Right and Ace takes her in his arms and jumps off the platform before it sinks. Borf's guards rush in. Ace tells Kimberly to run. Press Left and Ace retrieves his pole. Press B to bash Borf's guards. "Take that!" By this time, Borf has regained control of the Infanto Ray and is firing it off all over the place. Press Left and Ace jumps over to a platform to avoid the guards. Press Right to stop short of being hit by Borf's ray. The guards are hit and turn into baby-guards. Borf fires off another ray at Ace. Press Right to must jump out of the way. Ace lets Borf fire again. Press Left to quickly slide the nearest reflector panel in the path of the beam and press Right to move out of the way Right. Borf's beam reflects back into him. With a second of delay, the Infanto Ray kicks in. Borf turns into a little baby. Ace catches the falling baby Borf. "Oh Dexter, isn't he adorable? Can we keep him?", asks Kimberly.
